The lacing allows freedom to determine whether you wish to re-shape or reduce your waist.
Correctly fitted corsets have a rear lacing gap between 2 and 4 inches. This allows further waist reduction as your figure gets used to the garment.
Measure the narrowest part of your waist. Deduct 2 inches (5cm) for a slimming fit or if you are new to corsets. Deduct 4 inches (10cm) for a super reduction if you are used to wearing corsetry.
